Dual Shaft Auger Handling Flour
Problem
A dual shaft auger handling flour was using standard waste pack seals which were allowing dust into the air which is a safety hazard, created a house keeping nightmare for the maintenance staff, and was destroying flange mounted bearings.
Solution
To test CinchSeal, the customer installed a 7550 CinchSeal and purged it with 5 PSI of plant air on only one shaft. The CinchSeal showed virtually no leakage and has had no bearing failures since installation. They have since changed the other shaft over to CinchSeal as well.
